While I have not been on this database as many years as a number of the contributors, I have been actively doing genealogical research research for over 40 years. Researching comes very naturally to me as I have a professional education and experience in public library work. Laugh out loud lots of the research was accomplished prior to computer access to genealogical records.
My geographical area of specific interest is Monroe County, Ohio and the cemeteries in Jackson Township, the largest ones being Witten, Mehrley, and Locust Grove. I am working to add information and connections in these three cemeteries. I do also have research interests for all of Monroe County as well as Washington and Belmont counties in Ohio and Tyler, Wetzel, Pleasants, and Ohio in West Virginia.
My surnames of interest are: Witten, Tuel, Okey, Dickerson, Hoskinson, Hollister, Hissam, Knight, Dixson, and allied families.
