In high school in the early 1970's our History Club visited a few old cemeteries and recorded headstone information. My genealogy research started in earnest in October 1997 with a visit to the Mormon Genealogy Library in Salt Lake City. Since my father was raised in an orphanage there was a lot of unknown about his family, that probably contributed to my interest.
