Bio

Age 50-60

Nursing Unit Clerk (Neonatal Intensive Care) University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital

Married, one child

BA: (UIowa): Literature, Science and the Arts - where I studied the foundations of Western Civilization and how it manifested in the Arts and Sciences (,the cultural, the literary, the anthropological, the political, the geographical, etc) My key interest was in discovering why humans took the path of civilization as opposed to remaining hunter/gatherers. And what, if anything beyond survival contributed to that. Factors impeded my formal quest for those answers.... life, a family and a myriad of other things happened But the progression of civilization continues and I continue to observe it in everyday life through culture, politics and now genealogy.

I have been a keep saver and scrap book person since childhood. A believer in the preservation of all things historical but not to the extreme...always a "pack rat" (so say the Chinese), and always aware of the danger of holding too tight.

A believer that we are connected to our dead ancestors scientifically through DNA and spiritually by things that may be beyond our comprehension. That we can learn about ourselves by studying, reflecting and learning the cultural and historical circumstances that influenced them. Love and respect for the individual and his/her place in the whole of the evolutionary process as humanity marches on through time.a
