I was born in Spokane, WA in the 1950's, I remember the first Lincoln Memorial penny, John Kennedy's assassination, men landing on the moon, the Space Shuttle explosion on takeoff, the Twin Towers attacks on 9/11/01, and the great Pandemic of 2020. I moved with my parents to Joliet, Ilinois in the 1960's and then to Las Vegas, NV where I finished school and got an engineering degree at Brigham Young University. I've served two church missions, one in Guatemala and El Salvador for two years (early 1970's), and another in New Zealand with my wife for 18 months (2017-18). After graduation, my wife and I moved to Wichita, KS and have lived here ever since. We raised 4 daughters, but are now empty nesters. I love doing family history research and believe it has both temporal and everlasting ramifications to know who we come from and who we will meet when go.
