I starting doing genealogy research after marrying in an effort to connect the dots with my family. I became interested in doing so based on stories my Mom would share about her family. And, because I knew very little about my Dad's family. I also have a degree in Historic Preservation and love to "cemetery hop" to both do research on my own family and to see the different gravestones which exist.

My roots run deep in the Winchester, VA area and other areas of Virginia/West Virginia and Pennsylvania. I work full-time but try to devote off hours and time on the weekends to research and try to locate the gravestones (and other information) about my ancestors.
