Ladies and Gentlemen, this website allows all of us to make choices for ourselves, such as whether to list an email address or to enable profile messages. There is a way to contact any member who manages even one memorial. If you don't know what that method is, join the Forums and ask there.
Regarding transfers; I firmly believe this is a collaborative website of people working together for the betterment of the website and the information it provides. Before I will grant an "out of guidelines" transfer, I want to insure the recipient is like-minded.
If you submit an obituary to be added to a memorial, make sure it complies with Find A Grave's policies. If it doesn't, the obit will not be added.
I am grateful to all contributors who help build this site, regardless of what resource they utilize in their endeavors. Every resource is essential to fulfilling Find A Grave's mission. Photographing markers is only a part of it. Those who lie in unmarked graves can only be identified by other means, such as scouring online databases and archives for death certificates, obituaries, burial logs, etc. and perusing paper documents in dusty repositories. Current obituaries identify those who are cremated, donated to science or have other non-traditional dispositions, which may never have a marker so recording them is all the more important lest they be lost. All of these sources provide this site with the data needed to "find, record and present final disposition information" for everyone.
My "managed" memorials are way, way more than "added" because I adopt orphan memorials managed by Find A Grave.
