I am the nine-times-great granddaughter of John Tinker who came to America in 1617 at age 25, participated in the Massachusetts Bay Company, and founded Groton, MA, where a monument stands in honor of him. I believe I have traced my roots back to Randall Tinker, who in the late 1500s, under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, was instructor of the choristers at Windsor Castle and a Gentleman of the Chapel Royal. I believe I am the eleven-times-great grandaughter of Randall. I have connections with my family, all of whom are direct descendants of my great grandfather Earl Tinker, who was a veteran of WWI. Earl had four sons, all of whom served for the US military during WWII, and one daughter.
