I have been researching my maternal and paternal lines off and on since Roots came out back when I was in middle school, 1978. Most of my paternal ancestors are from France by way of Canada, with dad's maternal side being from Ireland. Mom's come from Germany, France and England. We have yet to find any native blood in dad's paternal line nor have we found the royal connection on mom's paternal side.

I'm in northern NH Before I left CT I had started photo requests for local cemeteries. I'd taken on 15 photo requests for the "Old Willimantic cemetery" only to find that many of them are not anywhere to be found in the town records, and one was actually noted to be in the "New Willimantic cemetery about a mile down the road. I then did some online research to see if I could come up with any additional info on the requests and found some. But even with a map of the cemetery it is hard to find anything unless there is a monument for the family as many roads on the map don't actually exist any more, the sections are not clearly marked in any way that is noticeable and many of the stones either don't exist or are unreadable. The grounds in this cemetery are well maintained but the stones are not. for example in Section P the map shows at least 20 plots but I only found 18 names on 15 markers.
