I have been married since 1990 to Standifer B. Kilgore. We have three daughters, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren.

I have been interested in genealogy for 38 years. Beginning the summer that I was 10 years old, I traveled multiple states with my aunt Maxine Johnston Douglas when she was researching our Johnston family for her books. We had a particularly hard time finding the grave for my 2nd great grandmother, Miranda. It made such an impression on me that we named our youngest daughter after her! Over the years, I have continued expanding Aunt Maxine's work. Recently, I have begun to earnestly work on my husband's family.
