My wife Nancy and I have only recently become more interested in our ancestry, and in the fall of 2015 we spent a week in the Chicago area and in Mendota Illinois where we visited and photographed the grave sites of dozens of our relatives, from grandparents we knew to some of the earliest settlers in both areas.

Most had already appeared on FAG, but some of them without photos or anything more than what appeared on the headstone. I'm now doing my best to flesh them out with more complete information, hoping it might be helpful to someone else following behind me, as all of the information already on FAG has been so helpful to me.
