Genealogy sites extend the life of our departed. It gives us an opportunity to tell their story, share their image, and give them a virtual life forever.
I started genealogy while recovering from a car accident. It helped me exercise my concussed brain. It allows me to tell my children their family history. It comforted me when mourning my mother's death.
I am using the Ancestry.com genealogy site. I discovered there that my wife was a direct descendant of Mayflower's John and Priscilla Alden. One of of my sources of information when filling the Society of Mayflower Descendants application was Find A Grave.
I am happy to share with the Find A Grave community some of the information and photographies I have collected for my family's genealogy work. I hope this will help you. I also hope it will encourage you to, in return, upload a part of your own family history.
