I was always interested in my family's genealogy in my younger years and would ask my parents from time to time about this aunt or uncle or grandmother, cousin, etc. My brother; however, had been doing research since the 1970's, and when I joined in 2014, I was amazed to see that he had research data clear back to Constantine!!

Striking out on my own, I decided that I wanted more than just places and dates. I posted the only photo I had of my paternal grandmother, and just that one action connected me to a cousin I hadn't seen in over 40 years. Little did I know that he had been doing research since his teens.

Must I say more??? It snowballed! I now have many binders full of wonderful photos and information on family that I never knew I had.....and, some are still living. What a joy to connect with others who can fill me in on personalities, beliefs, and not only family history, but history of our great country and the sacrifices made by those who came before us to secure a better life for future generations.

I love the find-a-grave site. I am willing to share any info I might have on your family members. Mostly, I maintain my husband's or my own family, though. Please ask before sharing any portrait photos. It saddens me to find a family member's photo attached to a name or grave that is incorrect. If you see any mistakes that I've made, I'm happy to correct them. I am constantly in "edit" mode. As I find new info or different info, I adjust the memorials that I have. I'm always looking for more......
