Bio

My name is Sandra Latimer Spears. I have been interested in family history most of my life; my first encounter with creating a "family tree" was when my sister was in high school, and I was only 5 years old. I am a descendant of Col. Jonathan Latimer, a Revolutionary war soldier who traveled from Connecticut to Tennessee about 1790 when he was close to 70 years old. I still live in the same county where he and his family originally settled. My Latimer and all other family lineage is very important to me. My direct lines (3 generations) include Latimer, Hammock, Escue, Meador, Warren, Brown, and Harrison.

I have always felt at peace in a cemetery, and thus spend many hours there. I've always enjoyed sharing my research with others, so FindAGrave is a natural place for me.
