A new member of Find A Grave, I'll be the first to admit I'm a novice. I have carried out many grave searches through the years. I enjoy traveling throughout NE Iowa to find those who have gone before me. I love to uncover old family history and put it together for future generations to see. It's sad to see so many have gone, and it becomes hard to find some of the answers to questions we have. So we all move on, to try to piece information together and respect our passed loved ones throughout the research process. How wonderful it would be if we could step back in time, to see the lives they lived and ask them questions directly ... just for a little while. There are many that I've never met ... nor even known about until I started searching, but I still miss them in a way, and wish I could have been a part of their lives and they more a part of mine than they are now.
