Find A Grave ID

I wanted to thank those cemetery officials, historians, librarians, vital statics offices around the country and up into Canada, who have done more than their fair share in assisting me in finding the correct information. I also wanted to place a very special Thank You to lady.mayflower, and former Veteran NY Historian, Tim, for their help and guidance. The past 30 years of tracking and tracing, has been interesting. Without them..the correct information would never have been found/seen..and alls that would have been left, is click and add as they do on the paying genealogy sites without doing the actual leg work, double checking EVERYTHING on each person/family themselves..

***** I have left, death certificates showing parent/child/spouse well as obits and/or marriage docs. I did the genealogy fully on my mother, after she died in 2017 for 2 reasons..1. medical reasons and 2. since my mother was placed in the Chemung County NY Orphanage, she claimed she never knew her people. I tried to make that connection for her over the decades before she died..and since..
----Transcribed info, can be fudged where important info can be omitted,----There were/ are so many folks with same names, all over, headstone pix/info off them, is sometimes no help----Interment records at times can be confusing/misleading, or misrepresented,---- Death indexes are nice, but a roster full of names folks with same last names, often first ones too...and no other nothing..w/o links to parent/child/spouse to prove line..--- Obits can be misleading as well, with first/middle names being reversed.. Census reports are a mess..wrong birth locations, wrong dates, wrong middle initial, wrong sex listings..grandkids listed as the grandparents children, and so on..Good tools, but I NEVER use them as a source..Lastly, multiple spouses, has created a mess on genealogy sites, as when a child dies, often times the mother's 2nd spouse surname is applied to death certificate versus the actual biological father (the mother's first spouse).

*****NOT everyone can afford to do, genealogybank, and all other paying sites. These days, or is down (free websites for old newsy stuff)...and I have long given up on family ( free) since that is where I first saw the mess folks created of my mother's main line ..Sooner or later though I think will be a paying site as well..
ANYWAY..for those who can NOT afford the paying websites, and have found fultonhistory with is issues least, folks can see what's what..from beginning to end..on my find a grave sites..
***** Not everyone can afford birth/death/marriage docs. or interment docs/records at cemetery level..(some places make ya pay for them..Cleveland Ohio did with me on a few things )
***** Not everyone can afford to hire a historian to go to the cemetery and look for unmarked graves..(sometimes they will do it for free, other times they expect to get paid)

I hope I have helped some folks, who are truly looking for the correct information..for medical reasons, ..and to maybe, find any loved ones..
