Born 4/19/1948 in Ferriday, Louisiana. father was Jasper Houston Book and mother was Velria Kate Murrell Hudson Book. I had 5 siblings from my father's first 2 marriages and 1 sibling from my mother's 1st marriage. Together my father and mother had 6 children, I am the youngest of those children. Through the years we have lost both parents and 8 of our siblings. There are now 2 girls and 2 boys left from these marriages. I started doing genealogy in 1999 and have found it to be a very rewarding hobby. It has brought me closer to my father's side of the family. My father passed away when I was 13 months old. After that we moved away from there following my oldest brother around. Mom always wanted to be close to her kids. After my mother passed away I moved back to Catahoula Parish and through genealogy have learned about my other family. I know people search all the times for their roots and some never find them, f I could accomplish one thing in life it would to be to help people connect through genealogy. I have 3 bio children and many more children that have come into my life through circumstances that God has allowed. I love each and everyone of them the same. I like arts and crafts, of course GENEALOGY!! I am involved in my community as much as I can be and have enjoyed getting to know a lot of people through this involvement. I have a wonderful husband that I didn't find until later in life and he has been a God send to me. I love keeping in touch with all my kinfolks and friends as much as possible. I created a wall on Facebook so my family can enjoy the genealogy I have collected over the years. Life has been good and I look forward to seeing more of it.
