I began my interest in our family's history while in college. I credit my great aunt for gathering and saving loads of photos and print artifacts on her side of the family, and for spending time educating me on such things as how generations moved west. My mother began researching and recording her father's side of the family, and she subsequently became the recipient of photos and print artifacts for that line. Again, generations moving west to Illinois. I also have been given photos and artifacts from my husband's family. So much "stuff" and so little time!

I enjoy making sense of all that I have been given. I hope to provide a sensible foundation for future generations, so they can know not just who, when and where, but the why and how.
