Born and raised in Pennsylvania, I became interested in our local history and the history of our state at an early age. Visiting local cemeteries was an interest I acquired from my mother who took me to visit graves of our ancestors. My love of history continued through my school years. My love for our family genealogy began about 1975 when we found a paper in my great aunts attic, a brief, but incorrect listing of my forefathers! I felt the need to find the truth...and so it goes! I'm still visiting cemeteries and finding ancestors. I have active trees on Ancestry and try to help friends as well. I've searched many cemeteries in Washington County, PA. and Clearfield County, PA. where a good many of my ancestors came from. I now live in Maryland. I have two cousins who are my favorite people to travel through cemeteries with. It's an unbelievable connection to the past!
