Fallen Graver

Sadly, Dorris Sickels Smith has passed away. Please consider visiting their Find a Grave memorial page and leaving some virtual flowers. Their enthusiasm for cemeteries and willingness to help future generations lives on through their contributions to Find a Grave.

At the age of seven years and the death of my mother, I lived with my maternal grand parents . I was inspired by my grandmother to learn more about my ancestors. Over fifty years of research experience have been very rewarding as the author of six family record publications in eight library holdings(Ref. Worldcat Ident.)
A portion of families researched were Sickels, Spade,Silbernagel,Smith,Gross,Caywood,Teeters,
Enbody and McElhenie. Copies of these family genealogical records have been shared with families and other researchers, also donated to libraries across the country.
Being the Smith- Teeters Family Historian, family members have been contributed to Find A Grave for family and researchers present and future.(Added under an anonymous name).
The Smith- Teeters and related family memorials are being harassed and vandalized by a Find A Grave member who has "taken" several names from our first Smith family record book, added them to Find A Grave and calls them "her" family, this person is not a Smith-Teeters relative or descendant.
It is not easy to keep the Smith- Teeters record books correct when there is a vicious, sick person trying to climb the Smith Family Tree.
