My name is Thomas "Tom" Byer and I was born and raised in Logan County, OH. I retired from high school education with 44 years in the classroom. Within that time I also was an adjunct faculty member at a community college. I became interested in family research in 1970 when I learned that my wife was a Mayflower descendant. I have discovered 50 of my ancestral family surnames, and 32 of my wife's ancestral family surnames. My on-sight research has taken to counties IN: PA, MD, MA, VA, WV, KY, IN, IL, MO and OH.
My Grand Surnames are: BYER, MERANDA, WEST and HOOK. My Wife's Grand Surnames are: KEMERLEY, DOTY, KNEPPER and LOVE.
