Member of Ancestry.com since March 2011. Original motivation was to verify lineage to Samuel Horton, early settler and namesake for Horton Bay, MI.
He traveled with family and friends in 1856 from Toledo area to Northern Michigan via ship on Lake Huron to Pine River (Charlevoix, MI).
He is my great-great-great grandfather.
