My mother's family settled in Davenport Iowa, coming from Germany. My father's family settled in various small towns of Pennsylvania for generations. I inherited a number of photos and newspaper clippings and prior research that I have decided to organize and continue now that I have more time and access to tools that weren't available before. Since I grew up in Oregon and now live in Alaska, I wasn't in any of these locations. I take a trip every so often that includes additional on-site research. It is fascinating!
