My ancestor, Eugene Gilchrist and his 2nd wife Henrietta Fielding are buried in Scranton Rd Cemetery in Cleveland. In the last 7 years or so, the condition of this cemetery has really deteriorated.
I am attempting to add info and photos to Scranton Cemetery. I would really like to thank the wonderful people who have added photos for this cemetery. Also, a special thank-you to Cynthia Turk for her astounding work that led to her book, Scranton Road Cemetery, Introduction, Inscriptions, Interments. In addition, familysearch.org has been helpful with the "cemetery index" although it is actually photocopies of some of the actual handwritten records.

I love researching for ancestors; my own especially. I love cemeteries, walking around, reading the inscriptions, taking photos, and cleaning up overgrown graves.

I would like to maintain memorials only for my family, so If I have added a memorial for someone who I am not related to, I would be happy to transfer that memorial to a relative.

If I have made any mistakes, please let me know and I will correct them.

If I have uploaded a personal photo of one of your family members and you are not happy with that photo, let me know and I will delete it. I have uploaded photos of teachers I have had and remember fondly. The photos for them I took from high school yearbooks.

Do not upload any of my photos without my having given written consent. I will NOT give approval for uploading pictures to ancestry since their trees have become so unreliable.

Surnames I am researching:
my line: Babyak, Klepacz, Czupak, Zaweracz, Gilchrist, Broadwell, Streitel, Nock, Engelhart, Sartwell/Sawtell, Haynes, & Daby/Darby.

My husband's ancestors: Traxler, Horwedel, Johannsen/Johnson, Löhr/Lear, Kappler, Rumary, Bahnsen, & Schwanger.
