I maintain the records for the Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, IA formerly known as Youngstown. It was originally three cemeteries that grew into one large one. So there are a lot of really old graves mixed into ones that are more recent.
The history of this cemetery is riddled with problems from records being destroyed by fires twice to headstones being destroyed or moved.
I have gotten a lot of information regarding the occupants of this cemetery from the family members who use Find A Grave. There are several occupants that we can not locate due to lack of information.
If you have a loved one that is not listed and you think that they may be in this cemetery just ask me and I can check the list of unknown location occupants. We have several babies and young children that are on the list. We have adults as well but children are usually not marked with a headstone.
Each of the occupants has a profile page that I maintain. In each of the profiles we can put in what the occupation was, family members, church affiliation, photos, obituary info etc. If there is anything that you want me to add to the cities records just email me the info and who it is for. I get calls and emails all the time asking for more info on people. The more I have the more helpful I can be.
