Started working on my family tree back in March of 2011, but didn’t realize that was what I was doing. I was just killing time and throwing out Google searches for my darling maternal great grandma and was surprised at what I found. Now I have been “bamboozled” into working on both my paternal and maternal side. I will never be done! So much info out there to be found, and always more and more becoming available. I really appreciate the fine folks who volunteer to go out to the cemeteries and find headstones, photograph them, and upload them to Findagrave.com. If I would like to have a picture of someone’s headstone I occasionaly set up some findagrave memorials (if I am sure I have the right info on the people). I am pretty sure that all that info will be there in future for other researchers, so I guess I am doing my bit. I also add links between memorials, if they aren’t yet there, between spouses, parents and children. Sometimes offer more info on their birth, marriage, death info as well. I can sometimes spend over 60 hrs a week on this “hobby?” of mine and, still, I feel like I have so much more to do.
