Find a Grave ID

I like doing my families genealogy work and also like learning as much as I can about early ancestors graves and locations. Finding, documenting, cleaning, fixing, and restoring grave markers is extremely rewarding and important to me.
I am especially interested in the military services of any relative throughout our country`s past. I am an amature historian and collectibles dealer who also likes to reenact different periods of mainly military history.
My mother`s side came from England mostly through Virginia, Kentucky, and into Missouri starting in the 17th century. They settled in Howard county in the early 1800`s and eventually spread all over the country like many families. The family has recently fixed and restored the old Snoddy/Garner Homestead Cem. outside Armstrong, Mo. on the Willard Sanders farm. We hope to be able to keep it up for a time. Its on to others now as many of you understand. We are currently working on the Mason/Mott Cemetery west of Roanoke, Missouri.
My father`s side came from England and France mostly in the 17th century, as well, and first settled in Virginia and South Carolina. Many of his people eventually migrated to North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and then northwest Florida. My 3rd great grandmother on my father`s side was believed to be a 100% Coweta Muscogee(Creek)Indian woman. I am lucky enough to have a copy of an 1881 1/6 tint-type likeness of her and others a few years before she died.
I wish to share any information with folks I can and hope to learn new things from others as well.
I mainly only track relatives but I hope to have a few friends memorials eventually.
If you find any mistakes or discrepancies please don`t hesitate to bring them to my attention. Nobody is perfect. Please remember that many, many, mistakes are made in record keeping. Although human beings do the best they can it is inevitable that these mistakes occur for many reasons. In my searches I see wrong dates, numerous name spelling errors, wrong place names etc., etc.. When listing folks I try to make a determination based on various information and sources and even mention these problems when appropriate. Most all my listed memorials are a work in progress. Many will be corrected and updated as new information is available. Please help if you can. I want things and my posted information as accurate as it can be. For the record! No problems!
