Bio
Being a photo volunteer for Find A Grave allows me to combine my favorite activities: photography, scrapbooking, history, genealogy, walking and doing something helpful for others. I love the quiet, peaceful feeling I get when I go to cemeteries.
Whenever I take a picture of a grave for someone, I clean the headstone while I tell the dearly departed person about the person that is looking for them. Can they hear me? I like to think so.
El día de los muertos (Day of the Dead) is my favorite holiday. I love the idea of keeping a loved one's memory alive. Every year on Day of the Dead I take my third grade students to the local cemetery to study the history of our community, math (calculating ages) and family traditions.
