Based on my research so far, I've found that all sides of my family have been in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina for at least 200 years. Names I'm interested in, categorized by general area:
Greenville/Spartanburg, SC - Bright, Campbell, DeYoung, Cook, Hawkins, Southern, Israel, Sudduth, Lister, and more.
Henderson County, NC - Shipman, Rhymer, Staton, Hill, Freeman, Bassett, Lanning, Taylor, Sherrill, Stepp, Kuykendall, and more.

I'm originally from Greer, SC (and I still visit regularly), but I currently live in Columbia, SC. I would be happy to provide any cemetery photos or other information I can.
