I grew up in Lake Andrew Township, Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, and currently live in Germantown MD. My memorials focus primarily on my ancestors: Mankell, Jordin, Johnson, Swenson, Christopherson, Hjelle.

Also included are Sowinski family, primarily in the Milwaukee Wisconsin area.

Summer 2016: I published a book about my ancestors "Niederasphe to Norway Lake: Mankell Family, Minnesota and Immigration". These immigrant stories take the reader to Norway, Sweden and Germany and provides glimpses to the life of homesteaders and their descendants in the northwestern corner of Kandiyohi County, MN. Summer 2017: I published "Almost Saved, But Lost: The January 1873 Blizzard in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota" 12 people died in the blizzard. Learn their immigrant stories, their journeys when trapped in the storm, and the families who mourned. Available on amazon.com
