My interest in genealogy really began in the 1960s when my father asked me to look up a great grandaunt in old newspapers at the Oregon Historical Society in Portland, Oregon. We had returned from a year in Europe where we connected with Swiss cousins and a shared ancestry. From them we learned that the sister of my great grandmother had also lived in Oregon. In 2006, I finally had time to really pursue and contribute to the family history.

After using Find A Grave for several years and not finding ancestors I knew should be included, I've joined to help add memorials.
