Find a Grave ID

Bio

I have had a fascination with cemeteries since I was very young and I wondered who these people were and what kind of life did they live, who were their ancestors and their stories. Find a Grave is a wonderful tool for helping those spirits to live on and I am happy when I can contribute to that.

On my mothers side, my ancestors go back 5 generations on the Georgia coast from St Mary's to Darien and before then from Ireland and Scotland. On my dad's side, my first ancestors arrived from Scotland to Virginia then thru the Carolinas into southwest Georgia. I am excited to not only find my own ancestor burials but to help others looking for theirs as well.

I am a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and the Capt. Lordy King Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, St. Simons Island, Georgia

Originally from Georgia, and a graduate of The University of Georgia, Go Dawgs!, …I have lived in Alaska now for over 35 years. I am a member of the Clay Street Cemetery Commission, The Fairbanks Genealogical Society and the Pioneers of Alaska, Igloo #8.

My 2 most famous relatives are my 8th Great Uncle, William Creech, who was the publisher of Robert Burns in Scotland and my 2nd Great Uncle, Richard Rowland Kirkland ~The Angel of Marye's Heights~

Please use any of my photos on your own ancestry trees, that's why I add them..to share!

I am happy to transfer a memorial to you unless I am related to them or they are special to me.

Please refrain from colorizing my photos and reposting them to my memorials. Thanks!
