I have lived in Sarasota for 12 years (into 2016), and partially with the Gen Society of Sarasota, and partially by myself, am embarking on an effort to work on the county's cemeteries.

I thank all those who have labored to put massive amounts of data and pictures onto FindAGrave, and will be seeking to update and complete cemetery by cemetery.

This will help the public, and also help the cemeteries by hopefully lessening the number of calls and written requests.

Hopefully, cemeteries will cooperate, esp. when we get to burials without markers. If anybody out there reads this and would like to team up with me, please connect.
