I've been interested in genealogy since the late 1990's. In early March 2013, my wife and I took our first trip to a cemetery while on vacation to take pictures of headstones. Our first two cemeteries were in southern Illinois on dreary drizzly winter day. We visited St. John the Baptist in Piopolis and the IOOF Cemetery in Dahlgren with no strategy. We took hundreds of pictures and fulfilled 5 member requests for pictures of headstones. We also found a couple of my grandparents and numerous other relatives. I may be on my way to becoming a full-fledged taphophile.
