Bio
Eight years ago, my daughter had to do a project for her seventh-grade History class - a four-generation family tree. I had some information on my direct paternal line, but little anywhere else. We completed the project with some help, but I caught the bug. I began keeping my family tree in Ancestry.com, and vowed to search up every branch to someone who was born outside of the USA.
Little did I know that my family history on many paths leads all the way back to Jamestown - some to the first ship to land there.
I have taken to tramping all over eastern North Carolina, looking for the burial places of my ancestors so that I can photo each grave and headstone. When I run across one that is missing here on Find-a-Grave, I upload photos if I have them.
See my Hart Family Tree on Ancestry for a long look at an Eastern North Carolina family.
