When I became a member of Find-A-Grave years ago, I had a few names and nothing really substantive.
But since then, my research has blown up on both mine and my wife's side of the family. As such here's an updated list of some of the names in our direct ancestry:
Me (mother's side):
Camel/Campbell (Haywood County, TN)
Davis/Jacocks (my grandaunt was Pat Eva Davis of Haywood County, TN)
Bracy/Bracy (Hinds County, MS)
Sutton (Hinds and Rankin Counties, MS)
Mitchel/Mitchell (Hinds County, MS)
Hubbard (Hinds County, MS)
Owens (Virginia then Hinds County, MS)
On my father's side:
Alexander (Marshall and Leflore Counties, MS)
Craig (Leflore County, MS)
Burwell (Jefferson County, AL)
Gassaway/Gasaway (Apoloca, AL)
Frazier (Jefferson County, AL)
Young (AR, LA)
Gossett (Montgomery County, MS)
Bradberry (Montgomery County, MS)
Thompson (Copiah,Hinds Counties)
Van Norman (Pike County, MS)
Ford (Pike County, MS)
I'll update this as I get more information.
Also, as a side note, I live within 10 minutes of the following cemeteries:
Holy Sepulchre (Alsip/Chicago Ridge, IL)
Burr Oak (Alsip, IL)
Restvale (Alsip, IL)
Hazelgreen (Alsip, IL)
Chapel Hill (Alsip/Oak Lawn, IL)
St. Mary's (Evergreen Park, IL)
Bachelor's Grove Cemetery (Midlothian, IL)
I also live about 20 minutes away from St. James Catholic Church and Cemetery in Lemont, IL.
If you have (or believe you have) a relative buried there and need a headstone photo, please email me and I will take care of it for you.
I look forward to corresponding with you, and again thank you for any help you can provide.
