Paul has been married to the love of his life, Irene, for over 40 years. He and Irene retired after long careers as NASA subcontractors following the final flights of the Space Shuttle fleet. Paul has always had a fascination with genealogy and finally started actively pursuing his ancestors in 2010. His current family tree includes over 4,000 members.

Paul took monks vows in the Soto Zen line in 2006. He is active in the Zen community as well as supporting a active prison ministry and intermittent hospice ministry here in Central Florida.

Travel is a regular occurrence and more often than not, includes a side trip to that out of the way graveyard looking for that one lost cousin….
