My name is Myra: I was born Myra Sue Douglas in Daisy, TN to Edith Renfro Douglas and Virgil Dallas Douglas. I lived in the town of my birth until age 4, then was placed along with my sisters in the Vine Street Orphanage, Chattanooga, TN where I lived for 3 years until my mother could take us home to be with her in Dayton, TN. We moved to Graysville, TN where we lived until I was age 14. We moved back to Dayton, TN where I would live until my marriage to James McKinley Blackburn, and the birth of our first child. He and I moved with our son to Cookeville, TN where our 1st daughter was born, then back to Dayton, Tennessee, then to Greensboro, NC where our 2nd daughter was born, then Winston-Salem, NC where our 3rd and 4th daughters were born. After the death of my second husband I moved To Raleigh, NC where I now live with my youngest daughter.
