Historian, Genealogist, Journalist, Photographer, retired Publisher.

I am especially thankful to the vast volunteers across this great country of ours who make the time to fulfill an image request or input data creating a memorial page for the departed. Everyone deserves a memorial and memories worthy of sharing with family and future generations of genealogists.

Not everyone is able to geographically travel to the cemeteries of their loved ones. Photography was part of my career so I value results of images posted on the Find A Grave website. Whenever I photograph a stone I want to make certain it is clean and well presented. My cemetery bucket contains clippers and a broom to remove grass which may block engraving on the stone; as well as water and a sponge to clean any dirt and bird droppings as a measure of respect to the deceased and provide an image worthy of display.(See web references listed below for more tips.)

Personally, I am only interested in ‘maintaining' family pages, blood relatives of which I have historical relationships and records; although I am more than willing to provide photographs and records of others if asked.

Memorial pages maintained by a family member or invested persons willing to add edits, links, etc. contribute to the success of the Find A Grave website.

My Family names include: Sorenson-Lah and other branches of the Sorbo tree, Flaten, Flugum, Flattum, Jensen, Hansen and Hanson.

My Husbands family: James, Fiorey, Richards, Goss, Shirley, Broom and Spain.
