"There was never yet an uninteresting life. Such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy, and a tragedy." ~~Mark Twain~~
I initially used Ancestry.com and Find-a-Grave to work on my husband's Dutch ancestry, and consequently have been taking photos of his ancestors' grave sites & collecting old pictures for our genealogy compilation. (Any and all of the pictures I provide on Find-a-Grave may be used by anyone who has a genealogical purpose for their use, i.e. Ancestry.com, etc.) I am now working on my German ancestors and will try to help with the Find-a-Grave memorials created for my own ancestors.
I have made it a point to unite families with Find-a-Grave memorials by suggesting edits. Because my genealogical interest and work on Ancestry.com takes me far beyond my & my husband's obvious ancestors, I have been suggesting many, many edits in order to unite various family members' memorials who don't actually have much of a connection to my husband or me. Please bear with me.
Lastly I must also comment on the many wonderful memorials I have come across in my Ancestry.com and consequent Find-a-Grave research. So lovingly created and inspiring to behold! I will always remember when I first realized that families could be united on Find-a-Grave -- I was so impressed with the optics on those memorials where the managers had accomplished this . . . and this is my goal for those families' memorials who have not yet been united.
