Bio
Born and still living in West Cornwall, U.K. The vast majority of my ancestors were involved in the Cornish tin and copper industry and emigrated worldwide during the mining collapse of the mid 1800s. The name Meagor appeared in the late 19th century, before this it was spelt Meager or Magor.
It means "Ancient Walls" in Cornish. I have traced my ancestors back to 1638 in the parish of Breage with certainty and there are records going back to the 1400s which will be difficult to ratify.
