My name is Gayle Rockelli and I was born in Washington, DC in 1953. I was raised in a small community called Lewisdale, MD near the University of MD (across from the original Ledo's Pizza). I moved to Salisbury, MD on the Eastern Shore 4 years ago. Most of my family lives in Calvert Co., MD except for one of my sisters and myself. We live in Salisbury. I've been working on genealogy and family history since the early 1980s. I've explored the cemeteries of Washington, DC mostly (Mt. Olivet and St. Mary's) but I've also visited cemeteries in Petersburg and Matoaca, VA as well as visited the cemetery at the tip of St. Mary's County where a lot of Abells are burried.
