Well, after a couple of abusive messages posted on my member page I decided to say few words about me and my reasons for joining this site.
Some of you blame me for "stealing" famous memorials for myself and posting "way too many flowers" on them.
In my defence I want to say: we all have the same rights.
If you've ever read FAQ, you surely know that "Limit flowers to no more than one flower per memorial per day"... and so do I.
I never leave more than 1 flower per each memorial. So what's wrong with my posts?
Memorials I visit on a daily basis are very few: I never counted them, but I would say 10 or 15, not more. 10 or 15 memorials per day - you really think it's too much? If you do, then you should go to check "Top 50 Contributors" (Virtual Flowers): there are people with 500,000+ and even 800,000+ flowers they managed to leave in 3-7 years of their membership (it means hundreds of flowers EVERY DAY).
Will you go and stalk them too? I think you should, they're spammers just like me - right?
There are many famous memorials over here which are (or were) visited daily by the same few people. I never had a problem with leaving my own token, even though I knew that my flower soon "gets lost" among others. Maybe it's because I leave my tokens for the deceased person, not for anyone else. I've joined this community to pay my tributes to the people I love, not to impress any one of you.
I've been accused that I "bury everyone else post" under my daily post.
My answer is: if you visit memorials just for the sake of impressing other visitors & feeding your own ego, then the abusive person is you, not me.
I'm sure that each one of us has his or her own reason to visit this or that memorial. As long as your flowers and notes are not offensive, I don't care what your reasons are, what's the content of notes you leave or how many tokens you leave each day. I would never ever accuse anyone of stealing some memorial, even though I saw many people leaving multiple different tokens per one day & memorial.
This site helps me to deal with all the hardships in my life. For several years now I've been caring of my cancer diagnosed husband and his aged parents. 3 days a week they need me in the office in person, 3 days a week I was allowed to work in a home office regime. I also do some volunteering. I'm not seeking fun on this site, neither I need to kill my time being on here. Just like many others of you I do my best to be a good person who tries hard to walk the road of life without stumbling or falling down. There are days when spending a few precious minutes on here is the only light I see.
Live & let live, that's the golden rule. I treat you that way, please do the same.
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you all
