Find A Grave ID

I've been researching family history for over 30 years, traveling far and wide to visit historical societies, museums, old homesteads and grave sites. I believe the people gone before us deserve to be remembered as part of the history of our planet.

Researching my family from Scotland, in particular ancestor William Brown, Chief Trader for the Hudson's Bay Company. He founded Fort Kilmaurs (Fort Babine, Old Fort) in British Columbia in 1822.

Other ancestors and family from England, Ireland, Canada, Jamaica, Germany, Florida, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Names - Sim, Waugh, Forsyth, Macrae, Fulton, Clarke, Keeler, Baker, Pennock, Klett, Braun, Gibson, Kohlmann, Reakirt, Roberts, Stortzar, Billings, Rossler, Ellmaker, and Lightner, just to mention a few.

The assumption is that the "dead" have no right to privacy, but I consider it the better part to respect those who have passed, and so take care in what information I post.

I'm happy to transfer memorials if the person is not a close relation to me. There's no sense in me hanging on to memorials I've added where I don't know the individuals. The important thing is that the person in the memorial is remembered, not that I alone manage it.
