North Richmond Street, Chicago, Illinois, back in the 1950's. I was born in Phoenix Arizona but at the age of one, we moved back to Chicago, to this area, where my mother's family lived. On this street alone I can count the homes of three relatives, including my beloved granfather and grandmother. It was a small world for a small girl, and provided a very secure life, with relatives on every block. I remember all of it very well, when my husband and I went back there to visit, there were many changes, but much was the same, and I could easily traced the paths I walked when I was this little girl.
