Bio

I'm a Jordan from Eastern KY and am always trying to learn more about my roots. My dad's (Clyde) dad was Orville Jordan. My dad grew up in a place called "Big White Oak." Does it still exist? My dad's mom was Cora Triplett Jordan. Orville's dad was Greenville Jordan. I'd like to personally visit Greenville's grave if someone can help me find it. I know that it exists on top of a hill surrounded by a chain link fence. There are maybe 6-7 grave stones in that little cemetery. Thanks Marcia for the pics! Greenville's dad was Jonas James Jordan. Jonas' dad (Captain William Harrison Jordan) was the first Jordan in my lineage to migrate from VA to KY after the Revolutionary War. Was he paid with a land grant since the Continental army was broke? He died in Breckenridge KY. Not sure how or why Greenville planted roots around Louisa. Anyone know? Any help is greatly appreciated as I try to fill in gaps and find puzzle pieces.
