Bio

My family is from the Mississippi Delta but I currently live in West Tennessee. I'm interested in old cemeteries and family genealogy.
I'm also interested in the Civil War and tracking down my relatives that fought and died. I have researched the casualties of the Battle of Fort Pillow, April 12, 1864. I've compiled a list of 100 Confederate soldiers and ~580 Union soldiers, both black and white, who were killed, wounded or taken prisoner in that battle.
I have access to service records of Confederate soldiers which can tell a story about the soldier. My main interest is soldiers who were in Mississippi units or fought in Mississippi. Lately, I've had to learn more about the cavalry operations in West Tennessee and North Mississippi.
