Find A Grave ID

On a whim, I started working on my genealogy in 1993 and have since successfully outlined the basic details of my immigrant beginnings.

My DNA says my lineage hails mostly from Ireland and England. Although, I am a descendant from the Huguenots arriving in New Rochelle, New York in the late 1600's, I have no French DNA. These French newcomers intermarried mostly with Germans and later generations with English and Irish. My roots are in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

This has been an amazing adventure, both learning about my family and American history. Genealogy allows me a perspective that takes me beyond the grim occurrence of an ugly relative or two or five or six... instead, I try to appreciate the men and women that fought wars, disease, discrimination and even each other to survive and afford me the legacy of life. Finding and managing their grave sites and telling their stories is my way of honoring my heritage and their memory.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if something is amiss, to share information or to simply say hello.
