The German Methodist Cemetery is located 2 miles North of Johnson, MN and ½ mile East. The congregation disbanded and the church building was moved to Chokio, MN in 1913.

At this time, there is no one taking care of the cemetery. Unfortunately, it was vandalized in the 1960s and the stones were broken and tipped over.

We, Tami and JoAnne, learned about the location of this cemetery the summer of 2010. We found it was completely overgrown with Lilacs and the stones could not be seen from the outside the bushes.

We have been able to document all the grave sites and been in contact with some family descendants. With the help of neighbors, most of the stones are now standing.
