I've been doing genealogical research on my extended family for the last ten years and stumbled across this site. I think it's a great idea for a community site for folks to help each other out without having to make expensive trips or pay a researcher to do legwork for you just to get the information on a headstone.

I live in Alexandria, Virginia almost adjacent to the Alexandria National Cemetery, but would be willing to visit any cemetery in the northern Virginia/DC/Southern Maryland area if you need the assistance.
