I am a genealogist (own and operate my own genealogy business), cemetery researcher, and local historian. I have eighteen years experience.
^ Findagrave removed that part of my biography for "hate speech." I'm not sure what part of that is hate speech but.. mmkay. ^
I am 1/3rd of the Henderson, Ky, Cemetery Research Group.
My name is Brecca Mefford. I'm 25 years old and I've been doing genealogy since I was 7 years old (2000). I have over 55,000 people in my Ancestry tree and it's growing every day. I'm on a personal mission to figure out how I'm related to every single person buried in Henderson County. I'm about a quarter of the way there! :)
My Mefford's are from Muhlenberg County, Ky, but my Mother is a Blanford from here in Henderson County. My direct lines here in Henderson are Blanford, LaRue, Sandefur, Thompson, Gibson, Nally, Byrd, and more.
I really do have to credit the Gibson Cemetery (the main one) with being the creation of my obsession with small family cemeteries. I've been infatuated with it ever since I first visited in 2000/2001 (roughly).
Some of my biggest Findagrave helpers deserve credit: Lynn Fischer, Sarah Vittur, Karen Waddell, David Melton, Linda Yuan, Rosemary Rivette-Lentz (rest in peace), Bob Galloway, and more.
Shoot me an e-mail if you need to get a hold of me!
I recently tested my DNA on Ancestry and uploaded to GEDMatch. I'm kit # A523391.
For the time being, I have disabled wall messages and e-mails. This is due in part to receiving way too much harassment from the elder age of genealogists. Plus, I'll be going on vacation next week so I won't be here to respond to e-mails anyhow.
